Kyosho Turbo Rocky
Hi again,
just finished restoring this Kyosho Turbo Rocky. Don't know why, but I really enjoy working on these older Kyosho designs. Maybe because of all the nice aluminum?
Anyway, this came from the bay. It looked rather complete by the pics, but in fact it wasn't. This is where my mate Ruediger (Rocky4WD) came to the rescue with a nice lot of new parts! Thanks again, you're a star! :-)
I stripped the car completly and exchanged worn parts with new ones (big thanks go out to Tamiyoman, too). The frontend was bent from an impact and every bolt and shaft had to be straightend back into shape. The chassis was sanded smooth using paper from 80-1200 grit. I used new Optima wheels and tyres, as the original tyres are really scarce and I love the aluminium look. Tyre lettering was done in yellow to match the yellow body details.
The body is original and the paint is flaking here and there, but I like the metalic green/white combo. I just changed some torn stickers and did some yellow pinstriping.
Hope you guys like it! :-)

Wow, thank you all! The body is far from beeing perfect, but I like it! I would never have painted it green myself, but as Steve said: It works!
