Thunderfoot!
This car originally belonged to my nephew. After getting his first taste of RC with my old Monster Beetle (before I got it back) some 7 years ago, he got this car as a Christmas present back in 2005. A couple of years after that he got a nitro Savage for his birthday, and the poor old 'foot got forgotten about
It sat on the landing at my parents house pretty much untouched for a couple of years, and he always said that he was going to get it going again, but never seemed to get around to it. I offered him £35, he said he only wanted £15, and I gave him £20. When I got it home, it looked like it'd have never been cleaned with a thick layer of muck and grime covering everything, so it was stripped right down, cleaned up, re greased and reassembled.
It was originally going to have a beetle shell put on, but with the Proline dirt works tyres being smaller than the standard monster ones, just didn't look right, so instead I painted the red KBF wheels chrome, did a Days of Thunder style blue and yellow fade paint job, stuck some after market aluminium shocks on, and as they say, Robert is your fathers brother!.
No radio gear in just yet, but probably going to have a 8.5t brushless EZRun like my MB. Hope you like it, and as ever, comments welcome!

Love it! The paint job looks great. And i bet it handles fantastic with those wide flat tires. Great restoration. I'm sure it will stomp nicely with the brushless power.

That looks awesome! I agree with Dante, bet he will want it back now, rub it in by anihilating his nitro when you get the brushless in there

Thanks for the great feedback guys. I'm really pleased with the way its come out in the end. That fade paintjob was a nightmare to get right, but definitely worth the trouble!

I also like the paint job. Nice flashy looking rig, stands out from the others.
highflyer
Great looking example, very original theme. I Really like the stance with the wheel/tire combo, the body is perfect (bow-tie). Action pics in the future??

Oh most definitely highflyer. None of my cars are shelfers, ever, and this one will be no exception. Expect to see some good ol' roosters and the thing careering about on it's rear wheels in the not too distant!
