OK, This truck was my first RC I ever had. I really did not take care of it at first, I bashed the heck out of it and left it for dead for many years. About two years ago I found the box of parts and was going to give it to my brother in law (we have common interest in RC)to build a crawler. He said no way could he take it from me because I had had it so long. And insisted that I build it myself. So I got to work. I got to work Jan 2008, started with the axles and tranny, disassembled cleaned new bearings painted every thing black including the chassis. As I was progressing I did not like the black so started over and went with the blue, maybe to much over all but I liked it better then the black. Then I landed the chrome tranny with duel motor setup on ebay and thought this was perfect for this project. There was nothing wrong with the original tranny so it goes into the next project. The body work took a long time there were several cracks and road rash from years of bashing. It turned out pretty good, not prefect but I planned to use it as a runner again. This time I would have some pictures taken before it got scratched up. More to add later. (added 2/18/2011)
If you have noticed I shaved the front marker lights from the fender and added the new style Hilux lights. I also shaved the 4WD Hilux off the fenders too because they were worn down from years of repainting and sanding. The front bumper and the duel shock setup was gift from the mad builder, thanks Chris!!!

Great stuff BruiserBoy. Your story is very similar to mine in that I bought my first Bruiser in '86 too. Nice custom work on your latest creation. Lots of special bits and pieces that make it unique. Careful with yours, it looks a bit top heavy. Welcome to TC.
