Bought from a local trading site way back in 2003. I remember taking 1/2 an hour of work just so I could watch the auction close. It was in pretty good original condition so I was just happy to sit it on the shelf as it was. Roll on 5 years to 2008 and I had plenty of spare time at home after having my tonsils out so I set about restoring it. Everything was cleaned and then reassembled using new screws wherever possible. Roll on another 2 years to present day and I have finally just finished the body. The shell, roll bar/spot lights, chrome grille etc are all new as are the decals. Really satisfying to have finally finished it.

Looks sharp John! Great looking model and one of my favourite runners ever. Think it was a Blackfoot I found on an auction site in 2004 that got me started collecting and soon after finding TC

Looks Brand New, I really enjoyed those old Black Foot trucks, ran the heck out of them and they just kept going. I have one old King left I think I will have to make her look good again after seeing your nice restore.. Nice Job!!

Hey Neil, it's funny that you should mention the 'good things take time' slogan as that was the title I was thinking about using for this.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm really happy with the way the paint came up, especially after stuffing up the Midnight Pumpkin. It's straight off the can - no sanding and no polishing...... I really don't have the patience for that

A classic beauty all right. The BF is what go me back into the hobby years ago. Must spend some time on one of mine....

I love this one. I'm a fan of many Tamiya models, but I do believe my heart belongs to the Ford Blackfoot truck. It is so nice to see one correctly finished. Your truck looks awesome.

Thanks for the comments. It seems that the Blackfoot has a lot of sentimental value to a lot of people. I was never really into trucks myself back in the day but I can definitely see the attraction now.

Hey John, if ever you were to part with this truck, I want first and second option on it
