When we first arrived in Melbourne I immediately spotted this amazing area to run our cars. It's just along from the Windsor train station. It's an old BMX track / trials area. I've never seen anyone using it and it's a bit run down for anyone to seriously use it for bicycles, it is however perfect for us! There is a real variety of bumps, jumps, banks and is quite a large space. We managed to set out a track and had some great battles! I hope to get a bunch of Melbourne TC members down here for a bit of a bash and meeting :)

Cool area guys.... and the shovel work is already done. Will have to show you my bash spot when you come to visit next year

I used my old kyosho burns on an unused bmx track in London years ago and it was the best fun I ever had with it until an old grumpy woman came out and told me to clear awf ! and she told me to grow up I wouldnt mind I was only about 17 at the time ! happy days !! enjoy yourselves

Ahhh, the beauty of electric being relatively quiet! I hope some bright spark at the council doesn't think about redeveloping this into flat grass or something, that'd be boring. I should find out how often it is used and whether there is some possibility of developing it further into a more defined RC track

James there a few r/c tracks in Melbourne. There's Keilor, Knox and another indoor facility somewhere. They are running a vintage buggy enduro at the Keilor track in mid December. You'll meet plenty of vintage guys at that meeting for sure.

Heya Jason, good to know! Just looked up Keilor looks like not much has happened at the club for a while which is a shame, will be interested in the vintage enduro for sure, Renco said last years was brillliant!
