This is my 2010 Sand Scorcher. Many hours went into this build and I am really happy with the results! The details are endless but a few of the highlights are a full interior, roll cage, aluminum chassis,RC4WD shocks, inner fenders and lots of paint and polish!
Wow! This is a way cool scorcher. The interior looks fantastic. Love the color. Love the alloy. And the lighting is sweet as well. You have done an outstanding job! Well done! Also love the work on the rear tires! A+
Man, that is a freaky cool build! Really nice details and custom stuff everywhere! Of course you picked the right color! (My scorcher is the same green!) But with all the awesomeness, you forgot to paint the tire sidewall lettering! That would set everything off even more I think! Cheers!
Thanks for the kind words. The chassis I bought from a member on here,I think he goes by 73CJ?The VW logo is machined out of the chassis and the stock fibre plate backs it up.A lot of the ideas for this build came from you guys so thanks again. As you can see I made it a split window, wow what a challenge.I will paint the tire lettering,do you guys use a paint pen or a brush?
I use a tooth pick to paint my tire lettering. Also, are you adding each comment? Because your comment is the only one showing. You have to add each comment by checking the add comment box under each comment.
wow that is brillant work looks like you have put a lot of work in to that buggy and it shows the seats are brill paint work is stunnning into my favz it goes love it
Amazing build this one! Very cool overall and I especially like the checker board theme inside the wheel arches: never seen that before and it looks great. Wow, what a perfect Baja!
All of your compliments make the 4 months I spent on this build worth while.A few more details about this bug;the front bumper is 1/8 solid rod mig welded together, the cage I made from 3/16 brakeline also migged together. The seats are from Team3six,they are THE coolest scale item I've ever seen! The dash decals are from RPP Hobby and the steering wheel and shifter are from an Axial scale parts tree.I have added a battery behind the drivers seat and some scale bits to the interior.I would like to make the lights functional but hiding the wires would be tough, gotta think on that for a while. Thanks guys, couldn't have done it with out stealing some of your ideas!

Looks awesome! I do like ALL the details. However, one overlooked - Tire lettering. Do it. Is chassis VW symbol carved??

I used 80mm shocks by the way.

I have seen people use a Sakura extra fine tip paint pen for the lettering as well as using just white paint and a toothpick. [Click here]
