Here is a recent addition to the model collection. This is a first release of this kit from Otaki. Later releases deleted the motor and lights. These unbuilt motorized kits are about as rare as Big Scale kits can be. Took me years to locate this one. I'll be posting photos of one of these bodies that I installed on a vintage 58001 chassis. Looks incredible!

Tim! Yor gonna put this on a 58001 chassis. Sweet! Can't wait to see that done. I'm a big fan of customs as well as boxart. Put the two together and you get (slimmy love)

tamartin, I agree. When I build, I like to restore an oldie. I have a hard time justifying building a rare nib. The problem with the old Otaki pan cars is,,,,, there are no old Otaki pan cars. Since I'm a Tamiya man, and I have a bench full of restored 58001 chassis and parts, a re-bodied 934/3.5 CSL was a no brainer. By the way, the Tamiya chassis accepts this body with no mods!

Slimmy, I'm an old school scale guy. This BMW body is just over the top. A nice companion to the old 934/935 cars of the era. But, I like fast too. I have an old pan car that I have not run in a long time. The 'Killer Bee' Lambo. My mind keeps thinking Brushless......
