It's funny how it doesn't take long to see how your skills improve when you've been doing this hobby of ours for a little while, and given that my cars sit in the same room that I spend most of my time in, I find myself thinking 'Hmm.. I could do a better job of that', and so the series of 'Reboots' have begun
This Super Clod I bought for my 40th birthday only 4 months ago, and I was never really happy with the box art paint job, I didn't like the slop in the steering and the fact that the thing never seemed to want to drive in a straight line after a turn, and I really felt it could be a whole lot better over all, but I didn't want a full on 'Mod Clod'
What we have here then is the final result of the last month and a half or so of work. Respray, home made 4 link suspension, front servo mount, and rear steer lock, and I've also sawn the lugs of the front to give maximum throw on the steering. (And don't worry, I am going to make a skid plate for the front to protect the steering linkage ;)
Home made front servo mount Home made rear steer lock Home made 4 links With Mod Clod stable mate Shelf Domination!
