This is my monster beetle, it looks pretty good now (i think anyway) but came at the end of my second worst ebay trade when i was still quite new to ebay. I got the foundation for this car as an upgraded Blackfoot (oil shocks, MB wheels, thorpe diff etc) quite a while ago maybe 6 years not sure. After winning the auction did my usual requests about please pack well happy to pay more to cover your costs etc. Guy said yep no problem asked for 30 dollars in extra packing costs pocketed my money and put the car in a box 2 times to big for it with the body still on the mounts and no padding. Yeah you can imagine what it looked like when it arrived. The ranger body was a total write off and the chassis wasn't too good either (to add insult to injury the seller preemptively negative feed backed me when i approached him about it; back when you could still do that). So it was left in a box in disgust for quite a while. Eventually i locally picked up a monster beetle shell that had been poorly but thinly painted (someone gave it to me while i was driving a car in the work car park!) this was stripped and redone in the all yellow scheme it is today, i had planned to put it on a scorcher chassis (pre re release) but remembered the wreck of a Blackfoot hidden in the shed. After some help from some of our fine members on our trade forum here i secured the monster beetle conversion bits (sorry it was so long ago i can't remember who you were!) and the Beetle in its current form was born. A nice ending to a shoddy beginning. Let me know what you think.

what lies beneath! me being pretty chuffed with what lies beneath!
