Not an easy task, to make a showcase,
spent whole week to get this done
still waiting for the custom tempered doors to be ship in..
lots of work just looking at it..

Wow....just wow is all I can say! Very nice! It would be great to start from scratch and design a new beautiful showcase for a collection. I wish I had the space, time and capital to do it like yours! Great job and cannot wait to se it finished!

still a long way to go... hopefully this showcase is enough for my kits, if not will have to another wall for another showcase!! i think it will be filled up quickly -

WOW, that is all I can say about that. I do think the TV will need to be a bit larger to fill some of the gaps between the wall and the showcase. I will make a big guess and think that this did NOT come from Ikea.
I bet if you put some clear contact decal on the lower shelf, those finger prints won't accumulate so fast, but I must warn you now, you need a bucket dispenser close by if you ever have a TC member over as the drool will wreck your floor.

Gorgeous! Awesome! Jealous! (me, that is) I would love to do something like this, would you mind explaining a few details about how you went about it? How much custom work was done? How much you've done yourself? I am moving soon and got an 'OK' from the fiance for a R/C & Robot room (I build mecha models too) so I've been gathering research for the eventual implementation. It's a ways off though. Excellent job looks really nice! - Of course you evidently have the collection to fill it up too. I'm still working on mine

@ bad andy - thanks! got it custom made, got the lightings setup myself as well as getting the tempered glasses.. just wanted to diy some of the showcase so i get what i want.. have a really good carpenter. lots of work - selecting the right wood, laminate etc etc..

This is at least the showcase your magnificiant collection needed.Probably the dream of every collector.What's in a Tamiya if you can't see it at his best.Respect my friend.Your wife must be very gentle because I had to hire them all in my gestroom.Absolutely beautifull.
