Return of the 'CHAMP' !!
A while back you may have seen this bodyshell painted the colour of ts51 as per an article written by moosey over on 'TAMIYA101', think i'm going to call it ts51 moosey blue from now on.
Anyway you may have recalled i gave my bro a super champ to restore, it really was a wreck and probably one of the worst cars iv'e ever seen...and iv'e seen a few let me tell you.
Well here she is finally finished , joe my bro had spent hours degunking the chassis sadly the original chassis and top plate were too far gone so joe ordered up some excellent alloy chassis plates and some gorgeous alloy wheels.
Today iv'e re-stripped everything again mainly because of the marks and ingrained dirt that lay in the aluminium castings , i took everything apart and sanded out all the rough castings on the parts and then into a sand blasting cabinet that i have that contains some glass fine media, the results are back to new!!, it's been re-assembled , fully ballraced and has a new tamiya diff, I even found the time to sort joe some decent vintage radio gear and one of my bumpers.
Well joe mate i hope you like it, i think it's awesome and i'm very envious of you mate
MERRY XMAS JOE, i suppose you'll call her EMMA ?
(sorry private joke)
comments welcome thanks for looking
