I love it when you come across models on your travels i.e Carboots or Toyfairs etc.

A new guy started at our firm from Scotland and we started talking about hobbies.

He said he had a couple of models when he was younger and they are now at home in his mums house.

After seeing his family over Xmas he brought them down.

Managed to get this cracker and a Escort Cosworth RS chassis for decent money.

Shame it was not a old 3 speed though lol.

Not sure who the driver is based on when this model was released. Mansell or Damon Hill ??

Tempted to put a Touring car shell on it and see how it performs against the 10.5 Turn Brushless Xray club members.

From the look of the helmet it's Damon Hill. Great Car!

Mansell
Nice model just as nice as a 3-speed when you look closer to these F1 cars
Very nice Cheers Alex

I agree with Alex (Fernando Alonso) put them on the shelf and look how sad your 3 speed will look (I try it with the mountaineer and the T99)

The race car was driven by Mansell and Patrese, Damon Hill was the test driver, the FW14 was the 91 car and Damon got the race drive in 93, so this model in a way is very unique!

That's a Damon Hill, same as his dad's which was a rowing club I think. Very very nice

You got a great car there, nicely painted too! A nice find in that condition. I have one of these but needs restoring as paint was done badly & I'm struggling getting it all off - so it's a project for another day for now! Enjoy!!

Thanks for the comments guys. Its certainly a cracker, although a restored Blazing Blazer sitting on the shelf is a hard one to beat. Luckily Equity Release for the over 55's seems to be recession proof at the moment with the amount of parents taking out mortgages to help their children.
