Purple Sand Scorcher
G'day
Just about to head off on holidays & my son & I will be taking our SS's so I wanted to do a new bodyset as I was bored with the red & white. Not quite sure if I like this yet, hasn't quite grown on me, only new trick I thought of was glueing the sunroom half open so that it looks like a vw factory slide back.
otherwise, all stock.
Action pics in a few weeks.

Thats a really nice looking scorcher! Love the purple and the side colors. The sun roof looks good as well. I think I would have sanded out the lip on the inside of the roof opening though. Nice work
Jak Rizzo
I was going to cut out the inside lip but then I thought if I don't like it I can put it back to standard later.
Exhaust & wheels are chrome plated then sprayed with Tamiya gloss to give an alloy look.

God you're getting good. You've such a great eye for detail. Its got me buggered how you make so many good colour choices so often. Try not to re-do this one before I catch up. I'd love to see it in the flesh.

lovely paint scheme, it's a bit nice that is...
You always take excellent photos jak, what camera do you use? or is it a trade secret?
Have a great holiday mate...
Jak Rizzo
The camera is a 6 year old Sony, that has a scratch on the lense & is missing the picture button, I have a peice of wire stuck in the hole so I can still use it,(I'm not joking) it also makes a grinding sound when u zoom the lense from all the time spent on the beach taking pics of Vintage Tamiya's!
My son takes all the pics, he's now 10 so he's had a few years practice. Although now that he's getting older, we do argue more over who's driving & who's taking pics.
