Super Champ pretty much box art
Here's my 'boxart' Superchamp. I bought this and a second one the same week intending to merge the two cars ... but this one was so good I've left it alone. The rear wheels and tyres were wrong, they've been changed, the shell is repaired in the usual places and on close inspection the decals are looking tired ... but I'll leave a full restore for a future project ...
I managed to break a head-light ... I was admiring the car at arms length when it somehow managed to jump out of my hand ... splat! Could have been worse ... Happy days!
I remember how crest-fallen I felt when this car came out ... because I hadn't had my first Scorcher long when this appeared and suddenly my pride and joy had been superceeded by this beast! ... Still it's nearly 30yrs later and I got 2 of them now ...

That`s a sweet super champ. Sadly I`m letting one of these go on ebay right now - seeing one all cleaned up like this makes me wish I could keep it even more! The worst thing I`ve done with a vintage SRB is try to pick it up and hold it level to admire it ... with the front bumper ... which promptly snapped in two. Learned a valuable lesson there.
