Not sure what this vehicle is, definitely not a Unimog, but I'm pretty sure Proline made a body of one a while back... cool little vehicle...

I love that car! I belive it could be a Volvo 'valpen' (translates to puppy) - But the the space between the wheels is no way a volvo valpen. Will try to ask my uncle (army vehicle geek)

These light trucks are used by the Swiss army and are made by Steyr Puch.
They are called Pinzgauers and this particular one is a 710 (single rear axle)M troop carrier. The 712 has a double rear axle. Grtz Jan

That vehicle is a Steyr Pinzgauer 710.

Originally made in Austria - newer versions are made in England.

Like the breed of horses they are named after - they can travel over ANY terrain.

They feature swing axle independent suspension, dropped hub geared axles and an air cooled 2.5L engine.

The driveshaft is hidden within the tubular chassis - and is driven by a five speed synchromesh gearbox with a high and low transfer case, on-the-fly 4 wheel drive, and fully locking front and rear differentials.

A serious Army truck...

It's a Pinzgauer, manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Graz, Austria.
Plenty of them around here, since they were (and still are) used by our Army (and we're the neighbouring country to Austria).
This baby will climb anywhere!
There is also a pocket version of this named Haflinger. Just type the search 'Puch Haflinger'

It looks like an Pinzgauer, quite a few European armies use them as they are very good off-road.

There used to be a Pinzgauer club in Colorado where I lived and I'd occasionally run across them while out off-roading in my Land Cruiser. Very cool rigs and very capable in the right hands too!
