A Rapid Build for 'The Birthday Beach Bash'
I've had a fair bit of time at home over the last few days, and in between stuff I have kept my head down and put together this. I am hoping it will be ready for the bash this coming weekend. Internals yet to be finalised but its very open plan!
The Chassis came from Wooky, and the shell from Singleseven. Thanks guys. I have added some detail in the form of a louvred ali rear window, Ali paneled rear side windows and Sunroof, tinted yelloe windscreen, 1/4's and sides, and I got funky with the razor saw and lifted the engine lid on Ali legs. I made a aerial base, and the coiled up some steel wire to form a alternative aerial, and applied some scale tread plate on the sills and fender ends.
Its amazing how creative you can get at 1am! I kept the graphics it came with, and added a few of my own, and there you go, a quick little racer. Haven't tested it yet, and there are one or two structural issues in the under-carriage to attend to, but it looks pretty cool!

LOVE IT. I'm a fool for yellow Sand Scorchers and this one looks excellent. The louvred-rear window looks great, too. You have a great beach racer here, Ben!

I like it. Love the tread plate! Noticed the front left tire has been modded (cutting every other nu Do you plan to do this same to all tires? It looks cool and would look especially good on the rears.
SRB Bloke
So you bought 'Singles' bodyshell..!! Nice mods to it and very quickly done. Do the rear tyres to match the fronts and they will really chew up the sand. Where are you guys bashing..?
karooha MB
We are at Brean Sands, Weston Super Mare, Sun 20th. Theres a thread in meetings & Events thread, under Somerset Bash Ideas. Yes, I will cut all the tyres to match, I just grabbed whatever came to hand really.
Cheers John, it just sort of happened!
