M04 - HPI BMW 2002
This is another hybrid Tamiya/HPI car I've built. I LOVE the M cars... HPI has unfortunately beat Tamiya in the bodies available, and I love the new Cup Racer bodies. This one is the new 2002 Turbo body. I fitted it to my runner M04 chassis. Tires are HPI mini tires, and they don't work that great, but fine for a runner. I mixed this color of orange myself and sprayed with airbrush. Backed with black of course. Interior is basic, and not my best, but it gets the job done. I've also added a few shots of my growing M chassis collection. 3 of them are Tamiya/HPI hybrids!

That is a nice looker and a nice little collection. Where did the little yellow spot lights come from?? I like the 'googly' eyes on the Mini, cute touch.

GReat job on the details. I remember this car very well, my dad had the normal 100HP version, the 2002. Since he produces two dents because the truck would not easily when we went in vacation with a lot of stuff, he had bought the black spoiler and added it to the truck. Our car was red, and for sure my 2002 Turbo will get red color. I don't like your wheels as I think the spokes are too big. RC4WD should make some nice steel ones with wholes as in the original car. Your seat 'how too' is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing!

Great looking Bimmer! I remember one of my friends having a 318 in the exact same color back in the days. I rekon it will look very nice with the original Fiat 1000 TCR rims painted in gold too. Love the paint job on your Beetle as well.

That is very cool. I love the googly eyes Mini Cooper and it is funny how the only HPI chassis is hiding under that Tamiya Alpine body. This is inspiring me to build one in my own stable.
