Little Girls Run Around!

How did it all start I was lookimg at 'Corpse thrower''s Lunchbox that he had built for his daughter and my little girl saw it 'Daddy can you build me a Pink Monster Truck???. Pleeeeeease!!!!!' Looking at pictures on Tamiya Club can seriously damage your wealth!! :-)
I bought this a few weeks ago on ebay as a non runner, advertised as an original, but I think its a re re as it is in very good condition with hardly any marks underneath. I got it cheap so great that it was in fairly sound condition.
The body had the usual scrapes on the roof gutter lines, so I decided to remove them! A scraper with a stanley blade made it easy, followed by coarse then 1200 grit wet and dry to finish it off. Paint was removed with T cut, hard work, but no nasty fumes etc..
Managed to find the 'Memphis Belle' type Tinkerbell decals on ebay, (Little girl loves her!) added some 'Tinkerbell party pack stickers.' Job done. Paint is Tamiya TS25 Pink and wheels are Plasti cote Chrome sprayed originals. Made the transmitter out of 2 spares or repair units.
First time I have done the CVA shock mod (inc third rear shock) they came off my Buggy RX basher. It has given it a lot of negative camber on the front but improves the handling as it is going to be run across the grass in the local park!
Big thankyou to Nigel, (Hoppin Mad 74) Stefano (The Way ) and my mate Ross (Woomagic) who all contributed some freebie parts to the cause.
Standard motor, Mtroniks Eco 27 ESC. (£10 ebay find) New Chrome parts (Body mounts were all snapped off!) New E parts (Orig windscreen snapped.) and it goes really well!
Had it screaming around the garden for the first time tonight and Beth (4 yrs old) loved it! This is most definitely going to be a runner.
If you have kids, what better Tamiya model to get 'em started on?

Which S I G is this one going in, Lunchbox mania or tamiya pink? Also nice job on the wheels I've got a can of that Plasti cote chrome and been too scared to use it!! Any chance of a close up side shot of those wheels, they do look great. Sure your both gonna have tons of fun with it. Enjoy

The chrome spray is good, but not like it shows on the top of the can.... Also these deep dish wheels mean it's hard to get the looking good, it runs really easily and stays soft for quite a while so leave it a couple of days before you put the tyres back on or you leave finger prints!! Will try and send you a pic... As for SIG it's a bit of a one off. So probably the pink one as it's not really one for the lads! Ho ho. We have a 5 week old boy as latest edition to the family.... so going to do a Pumpkin for him... Probably blue

It has just occurred to me that the PINK SIG is also the place where you're going to find all the 'built for our daughter' RC's
