Futaba FP-2GS
An original FP-2GS radio set...! :D
...Absolutely as new - never used.
There has never been any batteries put into it - but the left stick is set up for an engine throttle application.
Eventually - I shall fit the 'gubbins' into a 'period' model boat... and enjoy it properly. ;)
Only the quality of the box spoils the 'perfection'... it has been on a good few shelves !
This is a late first issue Medallion set - with the S-23 servos swapped (in the factory) for later, more powerful 33M's (as noted by the little orange sticker on the box end-flap)... and dates from 1978.
The packet in the well below the servos contains the cam and spring to return the left stick to self-centering mode... :)

Nice example, glad to hear you are going to use it, i too like the old controllers, they feel and look better than todays cheap plastic things. Bought one recently new in box, that went into my Super Shot, just got another one for a future vintage

Nice one, always been a fan of the old radio gear. Looks verry alike to the Robbe (Futaba) Econimic. Cheers Michel.

Yes Michel,
The Robbe Economic radios are Futaba radio sets - 're-badged' for different countries...
My F-14 Navy is Futaba under all the Robbe badges !
RACECRAFTERS
Nice find! In the '80's, South Africa Futaba products were rebranded as Sataba. Besides the labelling, everything else was/is identical

No worries !
Everything featured on this site was made to be played with - and so it should be...

I can see now that you really do like your Futaba's buddy
Love this one!

Oh yeah - I LOVE my Futaba radios !
If start creating more pages - to show all the things I have...
...there'll be no time for owt else !
I might do a few - over the next few days...
This radio has no spring on the left stick.
So it is destined to eventually control...
...a large and very 'elegant' power boat.
An own-design - but with 'classic' lines - and with my Taplin Twin diesel engine for power.
