Lancia Stratos Rally Landmax I kit no 31984 Kyosho 京商

This is the Kyosho 1/8 Lancia Stratos rally car, based on the Landmax I series.

The Landmax I rally cars are based on the Inferno DX chassis, very reliable design and the lancia body is one of the coolest. Kyosho also kept the same body and used it later on the Landmax II chassis (which is based on the Inferno MP7.5). LANCIA STRATOS HF Rally, First unveiled at the 1970 Turin Motor Show and Designed by Bertone, the creator of the Lamborghini Countach, the Lancia Stratos was years ahead of the competition. Up until that time, Rally cars had been developed from production sports cars, but the Stratos was created with the sole aim of using it in competition. With its Ferrari V6 2.4 litre 12 valve engine, the Stratos blew away the competition wherever it competed. Dedicated rally versions of the car began to appear from 1972 onwards and the Stratos was to achieve three successive World Championship Rally titles from 1974 to 1976. The '77 season works car sporting the beautiful red, white and green 'Alitalia' colour scheme is recognised as being the definitive Stratos and is a design which continued to impress nearly 30 years after its creation.
GP LANDMAX 4WD,The Landmax chassis is based on a proven four wheel, shaft driven system, taken from Kyosho €˜s 1:8 competition off-road buggies. Features include three geared differentials, four long stroke oil filled spring shock absorbers and four wheel independent suspension. Power is provided by an included .20 class pullstart engine, which is pre-fitted to the partially assembled chassis. A fan assembly helps to reduce engine running temperature for improved power output. I0 precision ball bearings are included in the main transmission to help reduce friction and wear. The Landmax chassis offers the ultimate in large scale driving fun.
