I have never had a Clod before but read recently that they had been discontinued, whilst just browsing in the local model shop I asked if they had any Clods around, this one had apparently been lurking in the stock room for ages and had just been found the other day! Great! Anyway it is totally stock, even horror of horrors the plastic bearings, I am very sorry! this crime against rc will be stopped as soon as the ball races turn up. I put an old lexan shell that I got of off ebay on it as I dont think running the chrome body is a good idea as its so nice.
It is loads of fun to drive and handles and behaves as I imagine a real MT would, need to sort out a lack of front steering as the servo saver takes up all the steering movement except in reverse and possibly a four link kit for improved articulation of the axles, not to a crawler level but just a bit more..... maybe lock the diffs and a lexan clod body, I like this alot, great looking and fun truck to build.

Had it been red-bodied, it would have look just like the legendary Awesome Kong II. See this: [Click here]

Man that looks great, I love the chrome edition clod with the all black parts and huge chrome rims. Liking the simplicity of this one and the body shell really suits. Nice one

Cheers guys, the body is actually hideous, but like all the chrome/gold models I just cant wreck the body! This will get loads more done to it as I think its awesome.

It looks very nice. If you're planning on keeping the original steering here's a setup that works for me, I use this on both mine and my sons clod and we are both really happy wih it. [Click here]

You can't go wrong with a clodbuster. Even bone stock they are a hoot. My favorite one is the chrome addition. Because of the all black chassis. yours looks mean with the lexan shell. And for running, lexans can't be beat. Congrats and enjoy

Thanks for the steering tip kstar, I will try that as it is a bit rubbish at the moment!
