I have added a new nose guard to the 2010 (box art) and a new handmade ali Stinger type exhaust to Big Yeller. Both are now ready to hit the beach again. Also fitted 2.4GHz to the 2010, and a lipo is on its way, as it runs 10.5 Brushless.
Also, at the bottom is a pic of Big Yeller, but in the hands of its original French owner! I found him by using the 'vintage-rc.com' forum, where I posted a 'do you recognise this shell' post! Someone knodded me towards the registered member they thought it belonged to and hey presto!

SS '80 Big Yeller! -Sporty Little number 2010 SS with new Nose Guard Which Way? Damn It! -This is an old pic of Big Yeller

You are posting some cool SSs bud. But you should let the first car leave the front page before you post a new one. Or the old one will get kicked off. And you won't get any exposure. And no comments ;(

Cheers slimmy, had a few quiet nights to tinker away lately, and a moment or two on the lathe at work And yes, I know the problem, they're visible under the little arrow though.

I love this yellow SS. nd the moony eyes on the side. And those tires, well you just cant go wrong with a vintage set of sand blasters with the lettering all painted up. Nice work and great taste

Its one of my faves too, such a bright funky looking Bug. If you look really closely you'll see the lettering on the Jr's is actually not Stock. Thats because I cut my own Vinyl templates to detail the NEW BC Front tyres to look like Jr's. I used an alternative font, the lietters are a little big, will be corrected for next attempt. I have drawn my own font for the cutting machine. Orders anyone?

The story of Big Yeller is heart warming I love the fact you traced his roots. Your details did his history justice so glad you kept his personality intact. The 2010 great in the details as well. Big Yeller tells me he wants a driver

Thanks skywhelp. Yes, the story unfolds before us, nice to have a little history behind the vintage tag.
