I got this 58001 nearly a year ago. The last week I decided to leave it original green and put on a coat of clear. I still can't decide whether to put on the decals or not.
Still some parts are missing like the small lights near the front window, or the lockings of the front-hood.
I sprayed the rims with aluminium gloss and put a black cardboard behind.

Looks really nice, I have the exact same dilemma. After seeing yours, I might just leave off the decals (originals sheet) and display as is.
