After buying this on ebay last year found the time to rebuild. All is original except for the interior glass ( kept the original but very yellowed ). Up to now just a quick clean up of the chassis and metal parts ( will at some point get them bead blasted ) and removal of copious silicon sealant. Will at some point buy some original Coilovers. The body and body parts came via a fellow TC member about a year ago.

Swapped the Scollins interior out from my modified runner for the pictures but will scratch build an interior this Summer. Bumper is an excellent j-man creation. Wheel lug nuts are from Rogue Element Components and are actually for my Defender but put them on this for now, wheel covers are from Peter..RA1028 . Airfilter and roof scoop self made, scoop and sun roof aren't stuck down. Spare body parts will be used for a non racing style beach buggy with surfboard on the roof etc. and will buy a 2010 shell to cut up and make an out and out Baja racer.

Main Summer project is to finish the Defender support 4WD which has been modified and changed around since last posted and scratch build a trailer similar to a Whitebone for transporting the SRB's.

Mk1 unmodified and Mk2 modified SandScorchers Mk1 side view Mk1 rear view Mk1 front view Mk1 angled side view Mk1 without body Front wheel and lug nut Front end Rear end Various spare body parts, wheels etc.

love the colours, its refreshing not to see white and blue. Top job and a very modern looking twist on an old skool classic.

Thanks for comments guys. The great things about the hard bodies is the flexibility they give for scale modelling and the chassis etc. for engineering. The variations and ingenuity shown on TC are inspiring. SRB Bloke sooner or later I'm going to have to get a set of your 315's...top idea.

Did you make the axle stands yourself? They look great and a good way of storing the car off the deck

Hamster...this is the link for axle stands [Click here] Available elsewhere, on the bay I think. I just sprayed them and added 'heatshrink' to the handles.

I love the colour schemes on these two. Looks like a factory racing team with subtle differences between different driver's cars. Some real inspiration for me here to start doing something to my Scorchy too.
