After some good suggestions on the paint job and to add decals, I went into garage and re-painted the hood again. Looks really much better now I find. Also painted the top of the side storage boxes and added some vintage style decals. Note the antenna mount, was just some instand idea.

Really like what you did with the hood! Better than all white, or all orange! Nice details everywhere. This is a model I'd be happy to have someday.

ecellent additions to the work. The white on the front looks sweet. And that antenna mount is the cats meow. Well done

Thank you all for your kind comments! I am really satisfied with the outcome. I did not expect it would look so good at the end. I am now waiting for the speed controller to arrive, then I can turn my first testing round. Unfortunately I cannot hit any sandy beach because here in Austria we have no sea and no beaches therefore but I will find nice place to have fun with the buggy and then I will make some action shots.

Hi Tamtom... Where do the bumper came from? Or is it a custom unit? Beautiful car on paddles....

Hi trf_414_m2, the bumper is a part from the Hotshot metal suspension kit from RC-Channel. I had this one left. I did not use it on the Hotshot I put this kit on.

@tamiyoman; I like the Javelin! Often tried to get one, but was always outbidden.

Wow I love it, what an original take on a vintage classic! Paddles suit it down to a 'T' and the colour and sticker scheme give it that 80's appeal

Very nice indeed. Colour, bumper, FAV / Wild One hybrid driver. This looks awesome. Added to my Favorites

No sandy beaches!!! but plenty of snow some times!! im sure you will find a place worthy for this cool buggy to give it a blast!! but its got to be off road as these things look great off road with that soft suspension!!
sorry about the beach thing, cheers buddy.

Yeah, I know they are a great fun to ride. I had 3 FAV's before and 3 Wild Ones. But the FAV's with their soft suspension ride like a real Beach Buggy. The soft ride and the cool look is what I like so much on the FAV.

Looking good. What make is the front bumper you have fitted?

TamTom

@CARRERA, the front bumper is part from the Hotshot metal suspension set from RC-Channel.

I'm not a big fan of the orange, but I have to admit that doing the hood panels in white sets it of very nicely
