Updated pics Maisto Beetle body on SRB chassis, now with white walls. I found white wall spray paint that has some rubber formulation designed to stick and be compatible to rubber. So far is has held up well-and is pretty opaque. Added tail lights and head lights and some other details. Almost done-need to design the method to mount the body.

Bud, This is one sweet looking VW rod! I love it. Going into my faves. Well done

Franklin

27-May-2011

Thanks slimmy-Finman-the hub caps are from a craft/fabric store. They are button caps-used to cover buttons (obviously). They come in different sizes. They also have snaps and rivet parts for clothes that can be used for other things like the back of a side view mirror, for instance.

This is the ducks n.ts! ..or should that read the rats n.ts! Those lights and mirror details are perfect. Rear tyres 'just a tad aggresive which should give a good reason for gently running it.. It's wIcKeD! Franklin!

Thanks-again all for the comments!
racecrafters-I agree, the rear tires are a bit nubby-I thought the tires I am using on the pickup would be too tall for this body but I did try them and they are seen on the next update for this build.
