my first scorcher a good place to start my showroom
My first hard body paint jobs, it was going just to be plain blue, but the force took it to a new direction. Quite pleased with the result. Home made mirrors stinger, fitted a bench seat and Sulu and Bones, just a little dust n rust. laminated no. plates, replacement wiper. Brat wheels and tyres as I run it in the rough at quite slow speeds and the extra clearance helps. I do hit the gas every so often. Its got a sports tuned and a 3700 hump pack so fast enough for me and good run times normally do two packs as its so much fun. Has a Radshape chassis, since the pics has a RC Channel sus kit but I used the original rear cage. Just looking at it makes me smile.
It was one of the early models with the wrong cage and blue bag, big thanks to Stella who sent out the correct one a.s.a.p. I got a pair the others waiting in the wings.
Hope you like it, all comments welcome.
Warning! fantasy back story alert!
Bones and Sulu get separated in a transporter malfunction, an alternate earth after the zombie apocalypse but before the rise of the machines. Find an old bug from one old lady who had a thing for pimp my ride hence the clear lenses. Now destined to travel the planet looking for the rest of the party on contact from enterprise.

Dammit I'm a doctor not a Baja Racer! Very nicely done. I'm with the others in that I love the simple paint job, but attention to the detailing. Pic 4 looks almost 1:1

Could you do more of the story
skywhelp
Thanks so much, glad you like it. None of it would be possible with out this TC. It was the first time I tried to drive and take pics, and I have not taken many since school and that was old film slrs. I have a few more beach shots when I tried to get it in motion, if anyone wants to see, I can put up at weekend.

Great start of your showroom with a beautiful looking Scorcher. Great color and love the weathering details, i really like weathering, (see some of my builds in my showroom) You have a great eye for good pictures. Love to see more of your builds.
skywhelp
Thanks again you're making me blush. I had a look in your showroom def4x4 so many of your builds I have admired before and some new ones. I remember builds more than builders names my brains wired like that. It helps to look in a showroom to get the name to a builder, I normally just look at builds as they come along on the homepage. I then looked in all your showrooms like a stalker, lol, getting such positive comments from builders I admire has really made my day cheers guys.

Pic 1 and Pic 4 are superb. The depth of focus is great. I like shooting from a distance and zooming in tight, it gives good scale to the scenery. I really like the finish you've got, a funky matt.
axemandavva
Thats some great detailing on the bodywork - I wouldn`t even know where to start with trying to finish a car like that
skywhelp
thanks guys, @ these just don't stop giving back in the fun stakes, from even before i open the box! makes me happy to take pics of them looking scale, i was over the moon with the way the paint came out, even put some of the 'grime' on with my fingers! so glad you like it.
@ axemandavva details have always appealed to me since i was a kid. seems a bit mad as you can't see them when running, but when there at home i often look at them close up and it makes me happy. i don't have to worry about crashes as it just gets a new rust spot, takes the stress out of running
