Graupner Systems
Here's the final result of my Graupner 'Systems' catamaran (which you might have seen before). It's a brushless powered beast running a watercooled 1480 kV motor @ 6s. I made lots of modifications to the hull to cope with the massive power from the brushless system.
I used to drool over this boat back in the day, so 2011 time has come to build my own. It it modelled after the 1986 world champion boat by Bob Kaiser. I wanted to go strictly boxart, as I think the matt black looks most beautiful. Some of the boxart decals were missing so I printed them on my own. It now sits on a homemade transport box/boat stand.
It already has seen some action and will be used a lot this summer!

That is so cool. It looks kinda 'stealthy', I like it! How fast is something like that?

depends strongly on your setup. This boat is a pretty old design and the 3s/3060kV setup is massively overpowered. I think it's somewhere around 60 - 70 km/h. You could easily reach 100km/h+ with a modern boat and the same equipment.

I haven't seen that many rc boats, but I'm with you on this 'its blooming beautiful' if I had somewhere to use one without getting fined by the local council. THIS IS THE ONLY BOAT I WOULD BUY.. so so cool....

Very cool boat.Did they still sell it because I saw one today in my local shop NIB and was surprised.

@pcw064: They stopped production just a few years ago. That's why it's still available in some shops.

Hi, Nice work that you have done. I recently found my Systems RC Boat in back of my ex's garage. Now I want to put it together But i am missing the build plans. I remember they were on 1 big sheet. Would you happen to still have yours. I've never built 1 from the ground up.

Beautiful job on the resto...looks great! These boats have awesome box-art liveries. I have a NIB and planning to restore a runner so I would love to know how you printed some of the decals on your own. Thanks!
Pulled mine out of the dust, pulled it apart, tried into clean it up...put a hole in the hull. I wanted to do a rebuild on this so bad but now I'm not sure that I could ever find a hull....gravely disappointed
