Hi, here my last work which took me months to complete.. but I am pleased, now ;-) Blitzer Beetle/Stadium Blitzer parts plus Bear Hawk body painted in gloss black. Inspired by the Mad Fighter of HOPPIN MAD 74 and the Falcon of MAD-BEE ;-) Tamiya Sport Tuned motor, Acoms receiver, TEU-104 ESC, CVA`s rear shocks, etc. Probably the wheels looks esagerate compareted to the body but I can put back always the standard ones. I like the idea of a car well attached to the ground and its really is ;-) Thank you for looking :-)

That looks great, wide and low...

I like the idea of using the wing nuts on the wheels - looks very cool..

Wow,looks very very cool!Rrrrrrr......

Well, if you don't go to bash and use the car on carpet the wing nuts are ok, but you have to tight it up often Thanks for the comment OrangeSport

super gripper

8-May-2011

with some buggy wheels, proper racing tyres and a decent wing this would look awesome. maybe some black astute wheels

the-way

Nice one, super gripper. The problem is to find a nice rim for the front as should have bearings and not hex. I have something used for my Madcap but then I don't like 'small' wheels. If you know any good wheel let me know, please. About the wing, I thought about it but hard to find a nice wing mount, and probably I have to fix the wing near the body roof

very clean set-up...

Cheers Butcher-Bird, I spent most of time just to cure the details and find the best match for all the components

possibly the the desert gator wheels or one of the DT02 cars wheels

Very nice looks top notch...

I've been thinking about blending the upper half of bearhawk body(which I always liked) with the lower half a RR body....classic lines but with a more modern streamlined look...

the-way

9-May-2011

Cheers algae50 and thanks again for the idea Butcher-Bird. Originally I was thinking to use a Falcon lexan body then I opted for the Bear Hawk shell which looks quite sporty and modern

hi super gripper, yes they fix fine and I have got a set of grey DT-02 wheels but the rear ones needs a huge off-set to make the car a bit wider, but thanks for the good idea, I will work on it

Hello the-way and well done mate this looks well worth the time to build it!! Great looking and looks like it would work a treat down the beach or off road full stop!!! but looks to nice to get to messed up!! how about use it once and get some good pictures of it in Action and then clean it right up again and then back on the shelf to admire!! May sound a bit sad but my cars on the shelf have a small picture of them next to the buggy that i have taken when driving off road (down the beach)like my Holiday Buggy that is a full time shelf Queen now,but the picture show it in Action and i feel you have to drive all our cars at least the one time to get close to them! and its good to see the pics next to the car on the shelf and i feel it sets it of very nice!! apart from my Bull Truck and bull that is that are used all the time and have sand and dust on them most the time!!
You may want to have yours as a full time runner?? it does look good to drive!
A very smart looking buggy you have there the-way and a one off!!
Pleased i inspired you the-way and you have hit the bulls eye mate!
Cheers buddy.

Hello MAD-BEE, yes it is a difficult choice..I spent a fortune on this car also waiting weeks for the parts to arrive from USA, H. Kong and Hawaii! Now I am worried to get it scratched I've tested the car on an indoor place and it drives beautifully, well balanced and attached to the ground thanks also to the rightly tuned shocks. Its a joy to watch it running but if for some reason get damaged I will cry like a Seagull! I lost my Blitzer Beetle (yes, the one on my logo) the first day on the beach! The car did not respond to the transmitter and went to crash at full speed against a concrete barrier Smashed up in dozens of pieces ( I still have the driver head in my spare box...). I will see but probably will end up to be a shelf queen Thank you for your comms always much appreciated

Correction, wasn't like this when my B. Beetle went smashed but like this

MAD-BEE

9-May-2011

Thats why my HB will see no more Action! she has had her day and now its time for her to just relax!!!
Sorry about the Beetle mate that would make me feel very down indeed! can you not put it back togather or is it RIP for it?? it does sound bad and you had the right to cry like a seagull for a very long time!! Maybe stick a breaker in this one so it will cut out if you have a problem as would like to see some Action shots but when a lot of money and work has gone into these cars we do feel the need to keep them safe!!
Get yourself a Mad Bull and you will not have this worry with this hard nut!! Plus cheap parts and yes it is cheap but very cheerful!!!!
The blitzer hawk will become your new logo now then?? A nice beach pic!
Safe driving buddy.
cheers again.

Wow ! Looks awesome without the wheels

the-way

9-May-2011

Got the message neobrunox he he he! The wheels are esagerate for the proportion of the buggy but were bought for making a new Blitzer Beetle. I will look for something more on-road type, like Carson or HPI wheels. Yes, I agree it looks almost a spaceship without wheels

MAD-BEE, thanks for your reply. About the BB, I 've managed to save partially the chassis and I gave it to my stepson to bash. The bodyshell because is hard plastic had no luck and I sold the front bits and the number plate...Next time Lexan bodyshell!! I will look after to this Bear Hawk because I don't want to risk. I have a lovely Baja Champ and Terra Conqueror to use on the beach anyway, at the moment. I am waiting for a delivery of an Ansmann Mad Rat just to bash. I paid £.50 for the full kit, new! Consider I paid the same money only to by the set of wheels and the motor for my Bear Hawk! But the Mad Bull is still in my wish list! cheers buddy
