Hong Kong bug gets some custom bits
Just after this mornings update, The post man gave me some stuff, a custom spider cage and bumper, beautifully crafted by John from TC, thanks man there ace. Some wheels as you already know, 2 batteries, and a sport tuned which consequently didn't fit :-(
So here is the Hong Kong bug's new chassis set up, unsure about the rear shocks they need rubber bushings, probably be changing that set up. The gear box needs a good clean, and have some re re tie rods on the way the current ones are too short. This will be run, but probably exclusively on the beach.
(I will get to the beach soon)
Will start on this shell today filling gaps cutting and priming if I get that far.
If it ain't rubbin it ain't dubin
just added a quick sketch of the colour scheme, bit poo but you get the idea, unsure on the wings yet but will leave the sunroof closed and cut the boot /bonnet out. no mirrors no indicators might fill the front number plate too? ideas welcome:

I know, I have run out of money now, yes colour scheme will be stolen from a 1974 Porsche 908/2 in marlboro livery, light sky blue with red dark blue and yellow v strips on the front end, have started on a pic will upload it later, selling my mini-b to fund these guys further, and I still want another one. ha bugged

Thanks singleseven, liking your bug too, looks like a real vw badge has been used to stencil the emblem on the roof?

the old scorchers are great and a little bit of bling doesn't go a miss either.

Been there too. Newer motors are a little bit too big to fit into the gearbox. I grinded mine out, otherwise buy the rerelease gearbox, the hole is bigger in that one.
