Well, after 2 and a half months posting the detailing I was doing to a VLB, here is mine. I took too much time in getting some photos outside today, but here they are. I used the fine line markers for most of the black lines and there is a bit of silver Sharpie in there for the handles and such. I don't know that I will get to run this, but bearings were added as well as a servo for steering. On the back burner is another project for now that required similar detail treatment. This body is NOT painted, I got lucky enough to find the XB yellow molded body from TamiyaUSA a while back and that saved me from all the painting usually involved for a box art VLB. I found it hardest to put the 'stripe' decals on the sides in an even and straight manner. There is a decal for the top that seems it was pre bent from the factory. I didn't realize Tamiya were cutting out all the decals for us, I might start decorating my bodies on future builds. Enjoy, all comments welcome.
