My HB2010 narrowing mod

Here’s fun. And it worked quite well.
Following on from Stevo309’s excellent mod to narrow the HB2010, I wanted to follow suit. However, not having such an extensive pile of models and spares, I wanted to try and keep buying new parts to a minimum.
This then uses the kit parts as much as possible, altering them with simple tools. Stevo’s use of the splined output shafts allows the rear track to come in; in this case requiring a 50mm dogbone. I don’t know if Tamiya do them, but I found an HPI pair. Apart from those new bits, the rear is all from the kit.
At the front, whilst still keeping most of the lower arm and even the kit shock, custom tie rods are needed as well as a couple of home-made bits for the shock tower.
There are a couple of PDFs (including parts list) that I hope are useful to anyone who fancies having a go.
The photos are not very good, but show the bolts etc. The PDF is clearer.

Very nice work! How does it look with the body on?

Great work....very professional looking instructions.

Looks good mate. Thanks for the mention. A lot of my decisions were based on my choice to use vintage wheels with a very different offset. This is a really nice and cheap solution on kit wheels

Thanks for sharing. May i ask how's the turning radius? In the previous mods the turning were affected negatively.

Any pics with the body in place to check the difference between both sides? Keep up the good work....

Thanks for all the comments.
I have added pic of the track difference with the body on. The modified side looks like how I remember the original.
I can't verify the turn radius until I have done the mod on the other side!

Absolutely brilliant mate. Producing a PDF for fellow members to reference is a great gesture.
