This is a plywood model boat kit I just built and gave Kyosho decals. Note the Tamiya Sand Scorcher decals on the old box lid photo ! I used re re Sand Scorcher numbers on the new boat. The Boat kit is from Lesro Models, Christchurch

OK, so its a boat not a car, but this 27' boat takes normal car RC radio kit and only costs £68.00. Really enjoyed building it, and love the only picture on the box using Sand Scorcher decals.

Very nice and sure something different then building a car
I used to build rc planes for many years and build some ply boats myself .
And it sure is very nice to build and see the boat getting build
Lots of work but very satisfying in the end!
Nice work mate I sure like your Arrow

You did a very nice job on the boat. It not only looks good, But it has great lines and color. Love it. Are you gonna outfit it with electrics? Are you gonna run it? What kind of electrics are you gonna run if you run it? Is the blue on the side painted on? Or sticker? Would love to see inside the boat. Nice work.

Thanks for the comments guys. The boat is just painted with exterior gloss and Japlac, with 'Trimline' pinstriping and kyosho/tamiya decals. I have put in a 23 turn motor, 7.2v battery and standard Tamiya esc, on a 27Mhz reciever. The motor is water cooled from a scoop on the hull, I will add some internal shots later today so you can see this. I may go brushless when I had had it in the water, only tested in the bath so far ! Sits nicely in the water.

Oh, I have also added a bit of video on youtube, search 'Lesro Arrow Build', if you want to see it de-constructed.

...I had one of these back in '84.

I still have the plans and will be making another at some time - from balsa, for li-po power !
