New Hornet
This is my new re-released Hornet. This will be built up as a display model not a runner, as I already have a Hornet which I run on a regular basis. The thing is, as anyone who has a Hornet knows, these buggies a great fun but that obviously leads to a few battle scars. So, as with the Grasshopper and the Holiday Buggy, I will have one to run and one to look pretty.
Everything I ordered turned up on the same day: Kit, Alloy Bumper, Spare Shell and Decals, Martini Decals and Paint. This is going to be a pretty simple (but hopefully good looking) buggy finished in white with the Martini decals along with a couple of the original Hornet stickers too.
It shouldn't take too long to build this up, but I need to wait for the right conditions to paint the shell.
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...

Thanks all. Yes, I hope it will look good. It will be a similar approach to my Alitalia Grasshopper and Rothmans Racing Holiday Buggy. I got most of the chassis completed this evening. Just need the right conditions for the spraying...

How lucky have I been with the weather? What a glorious day it has been, really warm! Got back from running the Holiday Buggy and got the shell for the Hornet sprayed up. Very lucky with the weather..
