Well after pondering over this one for a couple of hours finally took the plunge and bought it of flea bay for £41 including postage... ok i probably paid too much but have always liked the thundershot so what i really want to know is do i keep this as is and run it or buy some new parts and make it a thundershot??? really is in good shape and came with some acoms servos and receiver (no transmitter) . Also fitted with a 'MRI champions choice' gold motor which if i read right is a 17 turn? not familiar with that but its in excellent condition all the same . Bad points there is no steering servo posts and there is no msc tray or steering arms.... hmmm more part hunting!!! comments welcome and any help with the motor or missing parts gratefully received guys.

body not too bad clean up wont take long the mystery motor.... looks good though not too bad underneath... quite pleased really

I think thats good price with shipping. Chassis looks nice and crisp. If you are building a runner expect to spend some money though, front universal, twin shocks, ball bearing and adjustable upper arms would be my recommadation

Hi hot rod, Nice find and a good price by the look of the condition and most of these are sold with bold tyres!! this will make a great runner as these are good on handling but not a big fan of the Dragon shell so it would be a lot better if it was a Cool looking Thundershot!!! But at the end of the day if its a runner a lick of paint and that will do nicely!
I feel its good to have a good selection of runners!! Its good to drive different cars! and it depends where we are going to use them too! I love having my shelfers on display but you can't beat driving the runners like you stole them! If you get me!!LOL!
That motor looks interesting buddy. Have fun with this what ever you do in the end! Cheers MAD-BEE.

@winniez that dreaded word....money lol. Does need a minimum spend but on the whole a cheap fix (love cheap!!!) .@mad-bee - with you on the whole thundershot thing, was looking at these on the club and to be honest think the shell makes it a little too 'toy looking' so may get a thundershot shell at some point -as for that motor not connected it to power yet as not had chance but looks really clean so not much use so should fly...and fly it will on the beach maybe??? oh another one to carry lol. Cheers guys

You will definately need a Transit van at this rate for that trip to the beach!
This should be fun on the sand though with that 4x4! cheers bud.

Hehe, money is an issue in this hobby as in most hobbies If you are on the budget just get the ball bearings. You can find them on ebay at good prices. Thats an absolute must in my opinnion!
