I wanted one of these when I was a bout 10.... and from that point on without relief. So, when you get the opportunity to build a brand new SS.

After running it on a 5 cell pack I am in love with SRB's. If this is how well they drove new, no wonder the hobby is where it is at today.

I think alot of TC members felt the same way about the SS. It was great that Tamiya re-released it. Your SS has a nice clean look. Are the front runner tyres from a original Holiday buggy/Sand Rover?

Thanks and no.. They are about the same size. They (and the rims) are Prostar. They are (as you might guess from the rear tyres) the bigger 1.6' size. I picked them up from a shop in October 1987 because they looked cool I figured I'd use them one day, as I only had a Fox at the time. It pays to hang onto stuff.... I had put them on things previously, but had had little use.

snap again, i'm doing the same on my blue one, have the wheels will get the tyres soon but thanks for the pics looks incredible, chris did an amazing job with these first i've seen on here as well, kudos
