I've always like the Pantera De Tomaso ever since my father owned one when I was 6 yrs old. If I had the money I'd buy one, but in the mean time an RC version will have to do. When looking for reference for painting, I came across a number that had been raced, so I based the colours on that. The body is from HPI and the chassis is a cheap chinese version of a tamiya chassis. Still its pretty tough, as my son rode his bike over it without too much damage. I made the decals myself, using artwork I found on the internet and printing them on my wide format printer, so they should last.

All I need to do is widen the wheels properly and its finished, so if any of you have any suggestions, please comment. At some stage I will re-do this, as my masking technique was pretty dodgy and there was some bleed through. All comments (good or bad) are welcome. I'd ideally like to get a more realistic look, so again any tips are welcome,
Thanks

thanks for the comments guys. Rims were sourced from ebay and the offset can be adjusted, very handy! Although I am still looking for rims that are wider at the back, so any suggestions are welcome.

Great build! I have seen one in 1:1 lately and it is an awesome car! HPI vintage wheels/tires might help you out?

thanks case1, I will check them out, although I have seen the standard rims that come with the hpi pantera and was hoping for something a little different, this is the style I guess, [Click here]

Nice! I'd go with some HPI vintage wheels tires for sure, I think they will be the ideal ones for a chassis with hexes.
