This a new release from G.V., replicating a rather famous race car from Australia. The Holden Torana LJ series was based on the HB Viva body, but with a re-profiled c pillar and extended front bodywork and a 3.3L straight 6cyl (and the obvious chassis, driveline and suspension upgrades) made a perfect platform for a touring car. HDT (Holden Dealer Team) had a very successful campaign against Ford's Falcon GT-HO with these cars and was a launching pad for Australia's probably most successful domestic racing driver, Peter Brock.

As far as the RC model is concerned, it is a RTR with a 2.4ghz radio, battery and charger. It uses GV's generic tc chassis, so the model is about 1/8.5th scale and a little disproportional in width.

I remember a car club member 25 -30 years ago in Dunedin, New Zealand had a XU1 and man did it fly. I think it had triple twin throat Webers carbs on it. It sounded grteat being a straight six absolutely screaming. Left most V8's dead in its wake.

Sweet looking torrie . Not to meany people know about the HB viva . That had a 1200cc motor in it . They were great to put a V8 in them as they had so much room in the engine bay . But what i didn't know was that the LC was it . Nice kit you have there .

Nice! I like the pre-painted body but the wheels need some attention with a paint brush or something??

Yes, they've tried to replicate Sprintmasters, but they do need the black painted in. I will do that.
