Well, where to start with this one? After finishing my jobs early today, I decided to pay a visit to a local model shop (not sure if I'm allowed to say which one), to buy some paint. As I walked in, I was greated with the sight of this beauty. I enquired about it while choosing my paint, had a good look at it and on the approval of my other half, Emma, a deal was struck and I'm now the proud owner.

Now then, on to the model itself. It's in really good order and by the looks of it ,seen very little use - the tyres are almost like new! (you can see a little bit of cracking on the outer sidewall if you squeeze hard enough) It looks as though someone built this in the early 80's, run it once or twice and stuck it on a shelf. I really love the paintjob on this and as such its staying as it is. All I've had to do with it is quickly dust it and put it on the shelf, where it will stay.

All in all I'm really chuffed with it (even though I was only supposed to buy some paint!)

I saw this one on ebay and wondered who had it, Interesting paint job, you really should run it though.

@stickerbod, apparently who ever won it on ebay, failed to go through with the deal so it ended up back in the shop. Oh and I've got my Hilux to run (when I get it finished!)

Loving El Loco. I was keeping tabs on this on ebay. Nice to see it's gone to a proper pucker collector.

What a Gem!

That era paint job and headlight mesh look great. A detailed driver and maybe a navigator as well will make it even more outstanding.

I love the story on this, I have a similar 'Paint' story, but that will have to wait until I get some good photos.
pics 8 and 9 look so real with the perspective and garden in the background.
Now you will have to excuse me since I now have a craving for a taco that I can't refuse.
