Easy Blitzer Shock tower fix
Quick how to on the Blitzer Beetle / Stadium Blitzer / bear hawk shock towers
I noticed my Stadium Blitzer mounts where cracked and looked for some tube to go over them but everything i found was to thick and got in the way of the shock tops and them thought of this idea
if you run your blitzer you'll notice the shock mounts crack where the screws go in the shock tower :(
BUT its an easy fix
so dont worry even if you have a big crack or two just get the allen keys ready
1) Spot the crack (you probabley would'nt be doing this fix if you hav'nt spotted a crack) LOL
2) Glue and Clamp the crack and wait for it to dry
3) Now the clever bit, Take an old set of allen keys or 4 sets in my case, and take off the 1/4 inch allen key and spring,
remove the spring and throw the allen key away,
then wind the spring over the shock mount so it covers the section the screw goes into (can be a tight fit but does go on with some work) and glue in place
4) wait for it to dry and fit back on the car
and because the shock mounts where only plastc the spring steel should stop the problem happening again :)
Hope this helps someone other than just me

I haven't got a monster beetle, but I had to have a look after spotting the chocolate digestives.

Excellent tip which I'm sure will work on lots of other models too. Can you photoshop out those Chocolate Digestives please? They're making me hungry!

You could at least recycle the allen key.

Nice fix. To prevent this in the first place I'd use a tap to cut a thread in the plastic and use an M3 screw. Not quite such a strong solution as a self tapper but it takes all the stresses out of the plastic and should make it less likely to crack as the screw is not trying to force the plastic apart.
