Really fancied building a n.i.b Scorcher for ages and this one came up for a good price so I thought I'd go for a it. What a great kit to build and by far the best nib I've built so far and I've enjoyed every minute building it. As this will be a regular runner I opted to do a simple one colour paint job in British Leyland/Austin Rover Primula Yellow, which I feel gives it that sort of period look. I've also fitted a Sport Tuned motor and a rather nice Radshape chassis, aswell as a set of lovely gold alloy rims which I've had for a while. All I need to do now is find a beach and give it a good thrash!

Hope you all like the pics and comments are always welcome.

You built that quick. Looks well nice! Is it coming to the beach? I might bring mine to the beach if it is. Just need to paint the body on it.

@JWeston, Had a couple of late nights to get this done (insomnia can be a blessing sometimes!) This is definitely coming to the beach

Thanks for all the great comments so far. Wasn't sure how well the colour choice would go down but I'm glad you all like it. Got the paint from Halfords and it is great stuff. Goes on very nicely and easy and quick to use.

I'm with everyone else, I love that color! Unfortunately, no Halford's here in the States.
I'll start mixing. Even though it's a pain to paint, black window molding will really make it 'pop.' Even on a runner shell. Great work sludgeguts.

Top work Mark, Love the colour, One tip. Alloys and sal****er done mix well. Give them a coat of clear coat. Possibly a mat/satin finish just to help protect them.

I'm so sorry I haven't commented on this one before. Definitely one of my favorite paint schemes. Great job!
