Not alot to say here really..

I've made a few minor changes to this one, the most obvious being the wheels. It was an idea given to me by Volksrod a few years back. Basically it involves cutting the centres out of the Revell Kubelwagen kit and grafting them into the Tamiya wheels.

They suit the 'built at home' look I want for this car. Other changes are panel gap and side trim detailing, the primered section on the rear quarter panel was from when I was doing the side trim, the masking tape lifted some paint. I was going to repaint and blend it in but I kinda like the primer, it gives it a bit more of a used look...

I've also painted up another board so the boys have one each! It's a 1/10 replica of Fantuzzis' 1/1 board that was inspired by the 1/10 SS..

Hope you like!

1 A brilliant location for vintage RC..

That is superb. I really like what you have done on this one, most of these shots look so real, I thought from the thumbnail on the front page this was going to be a real car/reference post. Nice work.

Oh thanks, I thought they were one-piece wheels. Anyway, your work with those wheels is excellent. The whole VW bug is great.

Looks fantastic, a very realistic beetle color. I'll chime in about those great looking wheels as well, and the nod to the original SS with the surf board.

I like your SS especially the body light green color, you've done yourself this color? Great work! I hope my SS longboard inspired you for 1/10 longboard, but my name is Fabrizio. Fantuzzis' its another member with Sand Scorcher 1/1 surfboard? Ciao.
