My entry for the exploded view comp. One thing I have always liked on box art are the diagrams of the vehicle with a reveal of the insides, sort of like an internal exploded view. So this is my take on that. This is my Celica LB Turbo restore project in its current state and I've taken 3 photographs and merged them to produce the reveal. Comments always welcome.

Awesome job! That pretty much has to get my vote, I doubt other people come up with nicer stuff!

I love this car. #9 in the tamiya line

This is on my list of votes. I wish I could have pulled off the 'internal' view like this as it is my first love of cars, the Xray view and that is why I don't paint many of my bodies, that and I am lazy too.
yogi-bear
thanks Crash Cramer, but after your effort I knew I had to do something special! I was pretty lazy as a kid painting my cars, but now I'm trying to take my time and get the detail. Also with votes, can you vote more than once? if so, you'll get my vote.
thebicyclejungle
Very cool! How can we see through the tires? Special effects?
yogi-bear
thanks thebicyclejungle. I took three separate photos, making sure I didn't move the camera or car. photo 1 - no tires or body, photo 2 no body and photo 3 complete. Then I overlaid the photos in photoshop and played around with eraser and transparency tools to reveal the photo underneath, which gives the effect of looking into the car.

Very clever & a super creative use of photoshop It just goes to show you don't always need a mint box art model to be in with a chance of winning - good luck!

thank Toykid, I hope I win too
