Finally finished this beautyfull F1. It was TC member Carbonman that inspired me with his hybrid BT50. Mine wil be run, so I let the driver hold on to the wheel ;-) Still some minor details to do. but couldn't resist putting it on here already. It was quite a challenge to fit the rere body on the f103RM. A few major adjustmenst had to be made.
Very happy with the result though.

Brings back lots of memories, as a kid watching the race on Zandvoort circuit with my favourite Nelson Piquet winning the Dutch F1! Now brought back alive in scale, perfectly detailed. Superb job I must say! Btw, what am I missing on Friday? Was there a special reason that Wouter and I weren't invited?
Jorisschulte
No Danny, no special reason at all. Mr. Nismo invited some of us to his (new) home. Apparently you have never met him (yet). I'll ask if there's room for more... Would be nice!

I've been waiting to see this completed for a long time now - but it's been worth the wait! This is what I aim to do one day, when funds, time and re-buying the bodyshell allow! Beautifully executed! I'll use yours as the benchmark! The best looking Tamiya F1 just got better - I hope we don't have to wait too long for the runner pictures! Top work, thankyou for sharing Joris
SMOKE-DOG
Nice work.

WOW...Looks Fantastic !!!! Nice Job !!!!
Jorisschulte
Thanks for all the kind comments.@TamTom: rubber tyres would be nice but the ones i have ( from tamiya) seem to be a little smaller than the standard foam from the f103rm kit... Do you know what tyres would be as large as these?
No Slack
Very nice Joris. (echt heel mooi gedaan).

Lovely model... & looks to be superbly finished! 8-) I don't remember the real ones being raced, but it brings back good memories of building Tamiya's static kit version in my early teens.... very fiddly! I still have a 2nd kit NIB. Amazing power was achieved from the real car's 1.5 turbo engine, which rumour has it, were built using 'used' castings which were stress-relieved.
