AAAH!!!! Mica Red always wanted an SR in this colour. Had a good weekend so far, made a start on body. Oh dear what a mess the body was when I dug it out. The paint was removed by a previous owner with what must have been an angle grinder. DEEP scratches cracks and leftover paint. Filled repaired and sanded during the week, painted this weekend. It aint never going to be a shelf queen, I know that now :). Back onto chassis next.

Looking OK Repaired filled & sanded, but far from perfect. 2 coats silver leaf 2 coats of Mica Red Details

I just watched a doc on who made the 1st buggy 1:1 & this is what it is based on , Then in 2004 He updated the buggy with holes in the bonnet that the shocks come out like the re re sand rover . There was more to the story but i have made it short . Fantastic job on the restore .
