Junk they`re not.
Well, my competition-entry. I always love(d) these kind of shots of the Tamiya RC-handbooks. Now I re-did the one of the Porsche 959, a truely iconic model.
The car is really in a bad state, rust, cracks and dirt everywhere. Not a single screw can be re-used as all show signs of heavy abuse. But true love can't be stopped, right? And with some money on your hand... :-)
Where's the re-release?

Wow... this is really well done! My #1 so far!

That makes an impression; great photo, not easy to do. I like the 'well used' angle in contrast to the pristine new parts used in the Tamiya photos; cool!

Nice entry! Looks like it's going to be a hall of fame car.

Now I am in trouble, this is a very well done layout and a bit 'cleaner' than mine as I just used a template to place all my pieces down upon. I like that it is used, mine was, very little pieces and screws didn't have any rust or corrosion or dirt on them. Good luck and I have another vote here in the competition. Apparently, the entries are going to be getting harder and harder to decide which to vote on.
