This has been a labour of love for my dad for a many years. We brought the kit for him as a christmas present, soon after he got the kit he got on & completed the hull which is planked & boarded like the real thing but lack of time & enthusiasm mean't that it sat un-finished in our shed... that is until recently, my dad is now retired & has found the imputus to finish off what is quite a complex model... its certainly one that requires patience... also a little bit of guess-work as dad says the instructions for some of the more complicated details on the deck & rigging are somewhat vague. Must admit i'm rather proud of my dad, he has previously built a number of R/C planes & Plastic Airfix kits, but this has been his first boat. Shout out also to my mum who made the sails - which are better than the poor quality items supplied in the kit.

That's a real beauty Dan - your dad must be chuffed to bits with the way it's turned out. Will it be used or just displayed?

@ daddy5150, apart from maybe a few words of encouragement from me, its all my dad's work. Jammer/James, the boat is purely a static model... it would propably capsize if it was put into some water :-0 My dad is one of those people who is never satisfied with his own abilites & will point out all those little bits he's not happy with... but overal I think he's rather pleased
