The Clod Buster has never really been my thing for some reason. I don't mind the way they look and i know they're good fun but i've never been tempted to own one.... Until I saw this one! I can't take any credit for the creation of this beast, that honour goes to Volksrod (Joe) but for me it was love at first sight! I literally couldn't stop gawping at it! The sheer size of it is awesome but it looks just right. The extra length and lowered body just makes it look so much more real to me, the Clod Buster is a little short for it's wheel size i think. Joe is the master of all things modified, the chassis has been lengthened by grafting together 2 clod chassis and the shell extended by adding 2 clod shells together, some other touches like the lowered body and filled in rear bed finish it off and the quality of his work is superb. It also has independent front a rear steering from a 4 channel set so just like the real thing you can turn both axles the same way to crab or opposite ways for a really tight turning circle. The servos are mounted on the front of each axle but this is an area i intend to address with a more rugged fixing and hi-torque servos.
I feel really lucky to own this, a huge thanks to Joe for selling it to me, i can't wait to run it.

Top Clod on Tamiyaclub, The work thats been done actually makes it look like a proper monster truck rather than the usual 'shortned' original, Might have to find a double cab clod body myself, I feel a trend coming on

Couldn't agree with you more...I would never own a clod b/c it's short wheel base makes it look unrealistic but this modification changes all that. Really looks great!

Thanks ever so much for your comments guys. Joe is a genius for sure, like so many creative dynamos though his joy is in the creation as soon as one project is finished his mind is working on the next one so he sells so many of his projects.

Ya got it at last then mate?! LOL!!! Seriously wicked job this is by Joe. I love the artwork he's done on the sides and his attention to detail gets better! And it even run for more than an hour! How good?! ENJOY! P.S. You'll have to get a wider shelf now.
