Project 'Scale Scorcher' Has some steering. Bit of a tight fit! But its worked out to plan. Enough room now for steering wheel micro servo & electronics for lights. Oh! and bonnet fits nice! :-)

I reckon you have a real Beetle in your garage for reference because she's looking so accurate! Nice work and great progress!

AAAAHHH! I was wondering how you were going to do that

More amazing work Gary. Interested to see how the rear suspension is going fit with those inner arches fitted. So much detail as usual. Keep on going.

I love this build, so nice to see scale work like this, have you worked out where to fit the cells? maybe a small lipo would work well, keep us posted

Thanks for comments everyone!
Biscuit, i never even considered lipo! Great idea. Can i use lipo with standard motor and non brushless speed control? I have managed to fit normal pack, but would be better with smaller batt.
No Beetles in my workshop these days Beetlelover, so all from memory!! Oh yeah and Google
Steve, i might be making some one off beetle style trailing arms after all! Not sure yet? If i do, that will make all rear suspension mounts on chassis, so no need to cut out inner arches.

Looks great so far! You can use a Lipo with any motor or esc, but you will need either a lipo compatible esc or lipo alarm if not. The TEU104BK has lipo cut off and very cheap at £20 from time tunnel. Overlander do some great small lipos
