48 hours after it arrived from eBay its been stripeed, inspected (no craked or broken parts !) and rebuild with fresh shock seals, oil and ball bearings throughout. Sport tuned motor added for a little extra zip, running 15 tooth pinion. Body shell is for running only but has been improved a little by spraying over the original brushed paint job (was a bit thin in places !) and the outside cleaned up with some car polish. Driver cockpit repainted, not great but 100 times better than before.
Will get a new bumper shortly, and for the shelf will be fitted with a new ThunderShot body and decal with correct wheels.

Nice one. I had a similar result with a bargain Thunder Dragon from ebay. Tidied her up a bit and then loads of fun

A cool lookingTD. Just keep an eye on A5 (front lower arm inner pin securing bit) these have a habit of breaking if you hit something with a front wheel. You can make one from a piece of ally and never have to worry about it again.

Thanks for the comments guys - just nice to have a quick , easy turnaround project rather than some of the ones that drag on a bit !

Are those Fastrax wheels/tyres?

They are indeed Fastrax, 4wd (wider) fronts and rears - they came preglued and I picked them up when my LHS was closing for under a fiver a pair!
